Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a flat fire on Hall Street in Islington.
A three-roomed flat on the eighth floor of the 27-storey building was partially damaged by fire. One adult man suffering smoke inhalation left the property before the arrival of the Brigade.
The Brigade was called at 0449 and the fire was under control by 0556. Control Officers mobilised crews from Shoreditch, Islington, Euston and Dowgate fire stations to the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
