Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a detached house on Cheyneys Avenue in Stanmore.
Part of the first floor was damaged and the roof was destroyed by the fire. One man was led to safety by firefighters and was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service.
One of the Brigade’s 32-metre turntable ladders was used at the scene to help fight the fire from above.
Control Officers took the first of three calls at 1732 and mobilised crews from Stanmore, Mill Hill, Hendon and Kentish Town to the scene. The incident was over for firefighters at 1912.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
