Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a residential block on Bruckner Street in Maida Vale.
Part of a three roomed flat on the fourth floor of the block of eight floors was damaged by the fire. Seven people left the building before the Brigade's arrival. Three people were rescued by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. One woman was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 1952 and the incident was over for firefighters at 2051. Firefighters from North Kensington, Paddington and Kensington fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
