Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a church on Ogle Street in Fitzrovia.
Part of the basement was damaged by fire. Seventeen people left the building before firefighters arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1941 and the fire was extinguished by 2021. Crews from Euston, Soho and Paddington fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and Metropolitan Police.
