Firefighters responded to a kitchen fire on Dalston Square in Hackney.
The kitchen of a sixth floor flat, in a block of seven floors, was partly damaged by fire. Three people left the property before the arrival of the Brigade, and there are no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade received five calls reporting the fire, with the first received at 1529. Crews had the incident under control by 1633. Firefighters from Islington, Stoke Newington, Barking and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
The fire is believed to have been accidental, caused by an electrical fault in an air fryer.
