Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a power house on Factory Road in North Woolwich.
Parts of lagging insulation throughout the ground and first floor of the four-storey building was damaged by fire. There are currently no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1933 and the fire was under control by 2152. Crews from Plaistow, East Ham, Stratford and Millwall fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
