Sadly, a man has died following a house fire in Colindale.
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters responded to a fire in a semi-detached house, consisting of two floors, on Colin Park Road. The ground floor of the property and an outbuilding were both completely destroyed by the fire. Firefighters rescued a man from inside the property, but he was sadly later pronounced dead at the scene.
The Brigade was first called at 2207, and the fire was under control by 2321. Firefighters from Mill Hill, Finchley, Stanmore and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
The fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
