Five fire engines and around 35 firefighters tackled a fire at a mixed-use high rise building on Ealing Road in Brentford.

A small part of a flat on the eighteenth floor of the twenty six storey building was damaged by the fire. Around 100 people left the building before the Brigade arrived. One woman was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service and attended hospital.

The fire is believed to have been accidental and caused by resistive heating within an oven.

The Brigade was called at 2257 and the incident was over for firefighters at 0057. Crews from Chiswick, Richmond, Heston and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
