Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a shop with flats above on Mill Street in Southwark.
A beauty salon on the ground floor of the six-storey building was partially damaged by fire. There are no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1658 and the fire was under control by 1805. Crews from Dowgate, Shadwell, Dockhead and Shoreditch fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
