Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters attended a fire at a block of flats on Lyverden Road in Tooting.
A small part of a five roomed flat on the first floor was damaged by the fire. One woman was led to safety by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and was assessed on scene by London Ambulance Service. 14 people left the building before the Brigade arrived.
The Brigade was called at 1124 and the incident was over for firefighters at 1237. Crews from Wimbledon, Tooting, Mitcham and New Malden fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
