Firefighters rescued three people from a flat fire on Midhurst Gardens in Uxbridge.
A second-floor communal stairwell was destroyed by fire. Firefighters used two nine-metre ladders to rescue three people from the second floor. They were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took nine calls to the blaze and gave vital fire survival guidance to those inside the building on how to stay safe before firefighters arrived.
The Brigade was called at 0628 and the fire was under control by 0744. Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Hillingdon, Ruislip, Southall and Northolt fire stations attended the scene.
