Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a house fire on York Terrace East in Marylebone.
The loft of the three-storey building was partially damaged by fire. There are no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 2029 and the fire was under control by 2155. Crews from Euston and Soho fire stations attended the scene.
The fire is believed to be accidental and caused by an electrical fault in the mains wiring.
