Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a block of flats and maisonettes on Barrington Road in Brixton.
Part of a maisonette on the third and fourth floor of the eleven storey building was damaged by the fire. Eight people left the building before the Brigade arrived and were treated on scene by London Ambulance Service.
The Brigade was called at 0156 and the incident was over for firefighters at 0242. Crews from Brixton, Peckham and Clapham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
