Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire at a shop on Whalebone Lane South in Dagenham.
Most of the shop was damaged by fire and some external parts of the building were also damaged. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers received 14 calls about the fire.
The Brigade was called at 1339 and the fire was brought under control by 1439. Crews from Dagenham, Ilford, Romford, Hornchurch, Hainault and Barking fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire has been recorded as undetermined.
