Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a car park in the basement of an eight-storey residential block of flats on Green Street in Upton Park.
A bin store in the car park was partially damaged by fire. There are no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1728 and the fire was under control by 1815. Crews from Plaistow, East Ham, Stratford and Poplar fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
