Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a tanning salon on Clapham High Street in Clapham.
Most of a sunbed was damaged by fire and the rest of the property was damaged by smoke. Around six people left the property before firefighters arrived and two people were treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews for smoke inhalation.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers received five calls about the fire.
The Brigade was called at 1750 and the fire was extinguished by 1915. Firefighters from Clapham, Brixton and Battersea fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
