Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters tackled a warehouse fire on Penhall Road in Charlton.
A single-storey derelict warehouse was partially damaged by fire. There have been no reports of any injuries at this time.
Two of the Brigade's 32 metre turntable ladders were called to assist at the scene, including one used as a water tower to help fight the fire from above.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers received around eight calls about the fire. The Brigade was called at 0954 and the fire was brought under control by 1140. Crews from East Greenwich, Greenwich, New Cross, Poplar, Millwall and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
