Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a semi-detached house on Elm Road in Kingston.
Part of the loft was damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The fire is believed to have been accidental, caused by hot works taking place.
The Brigade was called at 1911 and the incident was over for firefighters at 2008. Crews from Kingston, Surbiton, New Malden and Twickenham fire stations attended the scene.
