Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire at a commercial property on Featherstone Street in Shoreditch.
A consumer unit in the basement was destroyed by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade’s Control Officers took the first call to the fire at 1012 and the fire was under control by 1125. Fire crews from Whitechapel, Dowgate, Bethnal Green, Shoreditch, Soho and Euston fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
