Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters have been attending a fire on Ringers Road in Bromley.

The fire was situated in a ground floor-level car park beneath a residential building of around seven floors. Three vehicles were alight. The vehicles were not electric-powered.

One man was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews and has self-presented to hospital.

Some smoke had travelled from the car park to the building and firefighters worked to ensure this smoke was ventilated and prevented any further spread.

People in the area were advised to keep their windows and doors closed due to smoke being produced from the fire.

Road closures on Ringers Road and Ravensbourne Road have been lifted.

The Brigade's Control Officers received more than five calls about the fire.

The Brigade was called at 0826 and Control Officers have mobilised firefighters from Bromley, Lee Green, Woodside and surrounding fire stations to the scene. The fire was brought under control by 1018.

The cause of the fire is under investigation..
