Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a terraced house on Earlswood Street in East Greenwich.
The first floor was destroyed and a small part of the roof space was damaged by the fire. There are currently no reports of any injuries.
One of the Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders was used at the scene as an observation tower to help fight the fire from above.
Control Officers took the first of four calls at 2248 and mobilised crews from East Greenwich, Greenwich and Deptford fire stations to the scene. The incident was over for firefighters at 0035.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
