Warehouse fire - East Greenwich

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire at a warehouse on Eastmoor Street in East Greenwich.

A small part of a vehicle maintenance unit was damaged by the fire. An adjoining single storey flat roof building and lean-to were destroyed by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.

One of the Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders was used as an observation tower to help fight the fire from above. 

Control Officers took the first of three calls at 0234 and mobilised firefighters from East Greenwich, Plumstead, Greenwich and surrounding fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 0421. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
