Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters tackled a fire at an industrial estate on Beddington Lane in Beddington.
An industrial unit containing around 10 cars was destroyed and part of a further single-storey industrial unit was damaged by fire. An electric vehicle was also destroyed by the blaze and crews ensured the lithium battery was cooled. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade's Control Officers took the first of eight calls to 999 at 0051 and mobilised crews from Norbury, Addington, Wimbledon, Beckenham and surrounding fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 0316.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
