Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a pub with flats above on Richmond Road in Kingston.
All of a one-roomed flat and half of the communal area on the second floor of the three-storey building were destroyed by fire. Around 15 residents left the property before the arrival of the Brigade. There are currently no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers received a call to this incident at 0308 and mobilised crews from Kingston, Surbiton, New Malden and Twickenham fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 0520.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
