Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire at a terraced shop and dwellings on Wickham Road in Croydon.
Part of a flat on the first floor was damaged by the fire. Two people left the property before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
Control Officers received the call at 0257 and mobilised firefighters from Woodside, Beckenham, Addington and surrounding fire stations attended the scene. The incident was over for firefighters at 0608.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
