Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a flat fire on Great Queen Street in Holborn.
A two-roomed flat on the first floor of the four-storey building was mostly damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers were called about this incident at 1710 and mobilised crews from Soho and Euston fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 1807.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
