Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a terraced house converted into flats on Green Street in Soho.
Part of a basement flat was damaged by the fire. Six people left the building before the Brigade arrived. Three people were rescued from the first floor using one of the Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders. There were no reports of any injuries.
The fire is believed to have been accidental and caused by an electrical fault in a boiler.
The Brigade was called at 1813 and the incident was over for firefighters at 1913. Crews from Soho, Paddington and Euston fire stations attended the scene.
