Restaurant fire - Kensington

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a restaurant with dwellings above on Earl's Court Road in Kensington.

A small part of a ground floor kitchen area was damaged by the fire. Two people left the building before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.

The fire is believed to have been accidental and caused by a burning log from a pizza oven being dropped on the floor. 

The Brigade was called at 1105 and the incident was over for firefighters at 1152. Crews from Chelsea, Hammersmith and Paddington Fire Stations attended the scene.
