Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a block of flats on Brownswood Road in Stoke Newington.
Part of a three roomed flat on the fifth floor was damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
Control Officers took the first of two calls at 0429 and mobilised crews from Stoke Newington, Holloway, Islington and Tottenham fire stations to the scene. The incident was over for firefighters at 0509.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
