Sadly, three people have died following a road traffic collision and fire on Bedfont Road, Feltham.
Firefighters were mobilised to reports of a collision involving a bus and a car. Upon arrival, crews found both vehicles alight and began firefighting operations. Firefighters worked to make the scene safe as London Ambulance Service and Metropolitan Police Service crews carried out immediate emergency care. Sadly, three people were declared dead at the scene by Helicopter Emergency Medical Services. Six other people were treated on scene by paramedics, and three were removed to hospital for further treatment.
The Brigade was first called about the incident at 0000, and crews from Feltham and Heston fire stations were sent to the scene. The incident was over for firefighters by 0141.
Assistant Commissioner Paul McCourt said: “The thoughts of everyone within the Brigade are with the families impacted by this tragic incident.
“I’d like to thank our crews and emergency service colleagues for the determination and dedication they showed when responding to this difficult situation.
“The Brigade will speak with our firefighters that attended and offer support through our counselling and trauma services where required.”
