Six fire engines and around 30 firefighters responded to a fire in a car park on Edgeware Road, Kingsbury.
Three cars were involved in the fire, with one car was completely destroyed. The other two cars were partly damaged during the incident. Around 100 people evacuated themselves from surrounding retail properties before the Brigade arrived at the scene. There are no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade took 20 calls reporting the fire, with the first received at 1907. Control Officers mobilised crews from Hendon, Mill Hill and surrounding fire stations to the scene. Firefighters were able to bring the incident under control by 2048.
The cause of the fire is believed to have been accidental, caused by a fault in a vehicles engine.
