Sadly, a man has died following a fire at a block of flats on Gauntlett Court in Wembley.
A small part of a flat on the second floor was damaged by fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a man from the building, who was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews, where he sadly later died.
Control Officers took the first call at 1819 and mobilised three fire engines and around 15 firefighters from Wembley and Northolt fire stations to the scene. The incident was over for firefighters by 1943.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
