Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a block of flats on Cleve Road in West Hampstead.
Part of a studio flat on the first floor was damaged by the fire. One man was rescued by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and was taken to hospital.
Control Officers took the first of six calls at 2020 and mobilised crews from West Hampstead, North Kensington, Paddington and Willesden fire stations to the scene. The incident was over for firefighters at 2142.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
