Sadly, a man has died following a fire at a residential care home in Shepherds Bush.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a residential care home on Elgin Close in Shepherds Bush.
Half of a first floor flat was damaged by the fire. A man was found in the flat, and sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Two further people were treated on scene by London Ambulance Service and taken to hospital.
Control Officers took the first of 11 calls at 1445 and mobilised crews from Hammersmith, Chiswick and Kensington fire stations to the scene. The incident was over for firefighters at 1645.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
