Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a public house with dwellings above on Poland Street in Westminster.
Part of the second floor was damaged by the fire. One woman was rescued from the second floor and taken to hospital.
Control Officers took the first of two calls at 0705 and mobilised crews from Soho, Euston and Lambeth fire stations to the scene. The incident was over for firefighters at 0806.
The cause of the fire has been recorded as undetermined.
