Today Stephen Walsh QC delivered London Fire Brigade’s closing submission to Phase 1 of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry.

Concluding the written submission Stephen Walsh QC said: “The Brigade repeats its continuing commitment to the bereaved, survivors and residents of Grenfell Tower to do everything in its power to meet their justifiable demand that meaningful lessons, some of which have already been identified in this statement, must be learned from the night of 14 June 2017.”
The Brigade will also continue to pursue the actions it has identified to address questions of public safety in its position statement submitted to the Inquiry in October while using all of the resources at its disposal to carry on supporting the Inquiry through its second phase.
