Andy Roe, London Fire Commissioner, says: “The report published today provides a clear assessment of the positive change that has been achieved across London Fire Brigade since our last inspection in 2022.
“The Inspectorate has acknowledged the strides taken in improving the service we provide to London, as well as the manner in which we have changed our ways of working and the work we are doing to transform the culture across the organisation.
“None of this would have been possible without the dedication of everyone in the organisation and the unwavering support of the Mayor of London, who has ensured we have the funding necessary to make the changes required.
“As well as reflecting on the journey of significant change that the Brigade has been on over the last five years, the report highlights areas where we need to improve further. We are committed to maintaining our progress over future years, delivering further change, and ensuring that we provide the service that our staff and our communities deserve.
“This is not the end of our journey, and everyday we will strive to do better to ensure we remain trusted to serve and protect London.”
