The London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority used to govern the London Fire Brigade. LFEPA has was abolished in 2017.

There are over 115,000 fire hydrants in London we inspect them every 4 years. Hydrant inspections are managed by the Water Team. In London, you are never more than 90 metres from a fire hydrant.

In some circumstances, people need extra fire safety precautions like flame retardant bedding and portable protective systems (PPS).
