The sale of Southwark Training Centre, expected to complete in September 2018, will result in the reduction of car parking spaces for LFC officers based at Union Street. Foundation Software Licensing

The Brigade has completed a tender exercise (under a Crown Commercial Services framework) and is ready to put in place a call off contract for the supply of a range of software licences and software from different manufacturers; this report seeks a decision to accept the tender and give a delegated authority to the Chief Information Officer to make software purchases/renewals under the contract.

London Fire Commissioner - Corporate Seal

Her Majesty of the Queen was petitioned and has now granted Royal Licence to the transfer of London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority's Arms to the London Fire Commissioner. This report recommends the London Fire Commissioner notes the granting by Her Majesty of the Royal Licence and approves the adoption by the London Fire Commissioner of a new corporate seal bearing the Arms.

Firefighter recruitment – qualification requirements

This report seeks to enable applicants for trainee firefighter positions to demonstrate the required competence in English and Maths by means of GCSE examinations passes or certified achievement of Functional Skills level 2 in these subjects. Where such evidence is not available, candidates will continue to be required to pass the Brigade’s ability tests in English and Maths.

Appointment of Assistant Commissioners

Following the most recent Deputy Commissioner appointments there are two vacant Assistant Commissioner posts that need filling now and in the very near future. The post of Head of Grenfell Tower Investigation and Review Team post was also evaluated as an Assistant Commissioner post but never recruited to substantively.

Award Report - Fuel Cards and Associated Services

This report seeks approval to award the contract for the fuel cards and associated services to the Supplier named in Appendix 1 - CCS Award Recommendation Report. A joint mini competition was undertaken calling off from the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) framework RM6000 Provision of Fuel cards and Associated Services. LFC will be completing a Call Off Order Form in accordance with the provisions of the Framework Agreement for the provision of Emergency Services Fuel Cards.

Ultra Low Emission Fleet (ULEF) Programme

LFC-0034 sets out the initial steps proposed to be taken to achieve the fleet targets set out by the Mayor in the London Environment Strategy. The approach is based on the Ultra Low Emission Fleet plan developed for the London Fire Brigade's fleet. The London Fire Commissioner approves the budget requirement over five years.
