Railway Procedures

This report seeks approval of the revised Rainlway Procedures Policy (316) attached at Appendix 1. It has been materially changed to reflect changes in the railway infrastructure and safety measure. The significant changes remove unnecessary detail with a focus on generic risks and procedures that should be adopted for railway procedures.

LFB Quarterly Performance Report - Quarter 3 2018/19

This paper presents the Brigade's performance as at the end of Q3 2018/19 (data to the end of 31 December 2018). This report covers performance against budgets, key indicators, risks and projects. This report will be available for the Fire Resilience and Emergency Planning Committee to consider at its next performance meeting.

Fire and Rescue Staff (FRS) Pay Settlement 2019/20

This report recommends formal approval and implementation by the London Fire Commissioner of the pay settlement for Fire and Rescue Staff for 2019/20 which has been agreed by the staff side of the Joint Committee for Support Staff (JCSS), GMB and UNISON, by majority vote.

LFB Transformation: Delivery Plan

FRS on call (standby) allowance and on call (standby) roster groups policy

In 2018 the Brigade's auditors (MoPAC) undertook a review of the FRS On Call Roster System. Arising from this was a recommendation for the Brigade to develop a policy governing FRS On Call Rosters. A draft policy is attached as Appendix 1 to this report: this has already been considered and approved by all Directorate Boards.

Procurement for the supply of diesel for strategic reserve storage

This paper seeks to award the contract for supply of diesel for Strategic Reserve Storage Thanks. This follows a collaborative procurement led by Crown Commercial Service (CCS) who aggregated public sector requirements and undertook a further competition via an eAuction calling-off the CCS National Fuels Framework Agreement RM3801.

Replacing Brigade Pagers with a Mobile Paging App

This paper seeks agreement in principle to progress the enhancement of officer paging by integrating a commercially available mobile paging application (‘app’) to be used on corporate smartphones with 4G and Wi-Fi as communication bearers. The aim is complete the transition of officer paging by November 2020.

Local Pension Board Membership - Proposed Amendment

The London Fire Commissioner on 24 September 2018 (LFC-0055-D) appointed the membership of the Local Pension Board for three years, which was subsequently amended on 25 Septmeber 2019 (LFC-0240-D) in accordance with the board's terms of reference. on 10 December 2019 the Fire Officers Association informed (FOA) informed the General Counsel that their representative had stood down and the FOA wished to nominate Frazer Ferguson as his replacement.
