Facilities Management Compliance and Audit Provision

This report recommends a contract model by which LFB Property can discharge its obligations under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and related primary and secondary legislation. The proposed model will require the appointment of a Compliance and Audit (C&A) contract to support LFB Property in delivering a legally compliant and safe estate, with reactive works carried out under agreed schedule of rates.

The London Fire Commissioner (LFC) on 24 September 2018 (LFC-0055-D) appointed the membership of the Local Pension Board (LPB) for three years, which was subsequently amended on 25 September 2019 (LFC-0240-D) in accordance with the Board's terms of reference.

Top Management Group Pay Settlement 2020

This report recommends that the London Fire Commisisoner approves and implements the pay settlement for Top Management Group (TMG) staff which has been agreed with Prospect (the trade union which collectively represents TMG staff). The Recommended pay inscrease of 2 per cent is in line with the LFC's Mayor budgetary provision for the LFC staff pay increases in 2019/20 and succeeding years

Update on the Community Health Strategy

This report summarises the progress on implementing the Community Health Strategy (CHS), Healthier Futures, agreed by the Strategy Committee (of the former London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority) on the 13 September 2016 (FEP 2638) including developing Fire, Safe and Well Visit pilots in London. A full evaluation of Fire, Safe and Well Visits is currently being conducted by MOPAC (Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime) and the results will be reported back in 2020.

Quarterly Monitoring of Commitments in the London Safety Plan for 2019/20 - Quarter 1 (end June 2019)

The current London Safety Plan (2017) was approved by the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority on 30 March 2017 (FEP2723). The Plan details how the Brigade will help make London the safest global city and is supported by a set of commitments to realise that ambition. Progress against the commitments, as at the end of June 2019, is provided within this report.
