Single Environment Plan

This report sets out the proposed Single Environment Plan for the London Fire Commissioner (LFC), providing one plan to cover all relevant areas of environmental risk, impact and targets. It also addresses the policy areas that the Greater London Authority (GLA) Group are expected to deliver on as set out in the Mayor’s London Environment Strategy. It replaces all previous environmental plans, including the Travel Plan, Biodiversity Action Plan and Waste Management Plan.

This report presents the Sustainable Development Annual Report for Publication. This report summarises the performance of the Brigade on sustainable develoment for 2018/19; outlines progress against year 3 of the Authority's Sustainable Development Strategy 2016-2020 and proposes the timeframe for the next Sustainable Development (SD) Strategy.

Hosted telephony service: acceptance of tender

This report seeks approval to accept a tender for the supply of a hosted (cloud based) telephony service for the Brigade. The existing contract with Unify was designed to allow time for the Brigade's aging telephony equiptment to continue to be supported, whilst a programme was initiated to migrate the Brigade to a predominantly cloud hosted service.

Treasury Management Mid-Year Report 2018/19

This report is submitted in accordance with Financial Regulation 22 which requires that the statutory finance officer (Director of Corporate Services) submit a mid-year monitoring report on the activities of the London Fire Commissioner’s (LFC) treasury management operation to the Commissioner’s Board.

Her Majesty the Queen was petitioned and has now granted Royal Licence to the transfer of London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority’s Arms to the London Fire Commissioner.

HMICFRS Inspection - Resource implications

One of the roles of the new Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services is to support continuous improvement and support fire and rescue services to become more effective. At the same time, based on experiences of previous inspection (and peer support) regimes, this is likely to place a new resourcing requirement on the Brigade to facilitate the inspection process.
